Try Pizzaghetti for Lunch

It is cold and raining outside and you are looking for something to eat that will lift your spirits fast.  Why not try my Pizzaghetti for lunch.  I’m certain others have talked about pizzaghetti but spaghetti and pizza in combo rock.  I have a little different way that I do pizzaghetti.

I use ground pepperoni quartered rather than the traditional sausage. This gives it a little more flavor and makes it more like pizza to me. The best part is that it is fast and easy to make. All you need are some spaghetti noodles, pepperoni, green pepper, peppers, garlic, salt, and cheese. You can either make your own sauce or use one of the many available commercially.

Since I’m in a rush today I will do commercial sauce.  Usually when I’m making pizza I’ll cheat with just diced tomatoes from a can, tomato paste, and spices.  It really is easy to make sauce once you get the hang of it.  You’ll find that sauce taste a little bitter before cooking but as you simmer a sauce will mellow the flavor.

I recommend trying some of the many sauces available on the market today.

Another great thing about pizzaghetti is that it can be eaten as is or with a side of garlic bread. Garlic bread is always a hit and easy to make. Just mix some all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and garlic powder together in a bowl and stir in enough olive oil to make a soft dough. Roll out onto a floured surface and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

I hope you give pizzaghetti a try this winter.
